Katharine McPhee Gives Birth To Her First Child With David Foster

Wow, so many celebrity babies! Today we’re sending huge congratulations to Katharine McPhee and David Foster, as they have just welcomed their first baby into the world. And as expected, it’s a boy!

“Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy,” an insider confirmed to People.

“Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.”

The little bundle of joy is the 36-year-old singer’s first child, and the 71-year-old music producer’s sixth – although he is his first son!

David Foster is already father to five daughters – Sara, 40, Erin, 38, and Jordan, 34, who he shares with his second wife Rebecca Dyer, as well as Allison, 50, and Amy, 47, from previous relationships.

The Waitress star already told fans that she and her husband – who tied the knot in June 2019 after meeting on American Idol back in 2006 – knew they were expecting a boy, when she spoke out about the life lessons she would need to teach him…

“Now that I am having a boy, there are different things I need to worry about to teach him versus the things I would be thinking about with a girl,” she previously said on the ‘Women on Top’ podcast.

“But it’s kind of refreshing because I feel like I don’t need to think about those societal ‘this is the way you look.’ I think men have different issues and different things to worry about.”

We still don’t have a name for the little guy yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more.

Congratulations again to the proud new parents!
