After almost two and a half years in prison, Jorge Nava is scheduled to be released sooner than expected, this coming May. After being sentenced to the Arizona Department of Corrections in 2018 for the transportation of approximately 300 pounds of marijuana, the former TLC star has recently connected with 90 Day Fiance fans through his Instagram account.
This social media account, which was started on March 21st by his manager, Vincent Hernandez, has finally allowed Jorge to have a voice. Being in close contact with Jorge during his prison sentence, Vincent has posted messages and updates on Jorge’s behalf.
A Message From Jorge Nava
Jorge’s first post since entering prison was an updated and very slimmed-down picture of himself in prison. Nava proudly lost over one hundred pounds while in jail, so the picture was somewhat of a shock to fans of the show. He added the following caption to the photo,
“Hey everyone, so glad to be on Instagram now to be able to connect with you guys. Praying for everyone that’s being affected by the Coronavirus. I know it’s a tough time for everyone right now. And we’re all going through it. We just have to stay strong and positive and together, we will get through it. Stay healthy, stay safe out there. Can’t wait to be with you guys again soon!”
Jorge’s manager, Vincent, went on Jorge’s Instagram live the following week, on April 1st, to share a voice message recording from Nava while still in prison. He shares that he will be released in May of 2020. You can hear Jorge saying, “I hope to see you guys in May. I won’t tell you guys the date… But stay alert on things and I’ll see you guys soon.” We posted a video of his voice message recording below:
The Russian beauty began to share her new romance on Valentine’s Day, where she and her new boyfriend, Leo, posted loving, cozy photos together. It seems like Anfisa and Leo are spending their quarantine together, as she recently posted the following photo, captioned, “Quarantine and chill?”
Jorge Nava spoke with InTouch Weekly on Anfisa’s new relationship, sharing support for Anfisa’s new boyfriend, Leo Assaf. Jorge said, “I wish him the best with his new relationship.”
After Jorge’s weight loss photos were shared around the internet and tabloids, Jorge told InTouch Weekly, “At that very moment in time, that’s when she blocked my phone calls, and I kind of was starting to lose contact with her.” He continued, “She did tell me, like, right off the bat, like, the day after, that she didn’t want anything to do with me and that it was over…”
“I think she was just jealous of the attention that I was getting,” Jorge, 31, told inTouch. “The news about my weight loss didn’t sit with her very well.”
Anfisa also spoke with InTouch Weekly in April, explaining to them, “I wanted to put our issues aside and stay by his side and support him in this difficult situation…”
“However, the whole time I felt like I had a weight on my shoulders that wouldn’t let me be happy. I knew I had to end it and it would be better for the both of us, so Jorge and I talked about it and mutually decided to part ways a few months ago and agreed to divorce once he’s released.”
Many fans of 90 Day Fiancé were disappointed to hear that the former TLC stars confirmed the split, however, if you have watched the show and witnessed their relationship, you will know that this breakup is most likely for the best, even though viewers got to only see a small glimpse into their real lives. Their story is to be continued, and we will keep you all updated.
