On the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, viewers watched as Tom Brooks and Darcey Silva finally met face to face since their last season together. The pair decided to meet in New York City, where they discussed their relationship in front of the 90 Day Fiance cameras.
Unfortunately, the episode turned south when Tom asked Darcey if she had “put weight on.” Darcey walked away from their meeting, stating she was completely done with him. Check out scene TLC posted, below:
90 DAY FIANCE TOM BROOKS’ APOLOGY
After the 90 Day Fiancé episode aired, Tom Brooks shared an apology on his Instagram account. It reads, “I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. We all make mistakes, we all have said things that we wish we could take back, unfortunately we can’t.
Tom continues, “I acknowledge what I did was very inappropriate! I truly am sorry for what I said and take full responsibility for it.” Along with his apology, he also wrote, “The edit is out of context but still if I hadn’t of said it, (it) couldn’t have been used.”
What does Tom mean when he says “the edit is out of context?” Tom elaborated the very next day, again on his Instagram. He explains, “The truth is they edited the hell out of the scene… It was one of the first things I said, after the first 20 takes of her jacket falling off coming into the building to meet me… I was like come on get with it… followed by the scene you saw ‘have you put on weight,’ it’s out of context and chopped to create drama. I can only again apologize to her and anyone offended by the scene.”
TOM’S SISTER COMES TO HIS DEFENSE
Tom’s sister, Emma, even weighed in on the situation, commenting under Tom’s apology. She wrote defensively, “She (Darcey) did the same when she met you pulling her nose up and saying you weren’t a super model. Don’t worry it’s a fact she has put on weight… but it shouldn’t matter. People know you love me and I’m much bigger. She was rude to you when she walked in.”
Even after Tom’s public apology and perspective of the 90 Day Fiance scene, the drama continued. Tom reposts the below photo of him and Darcey’s other ex-boyfriend, Jesse Meester, from Before the 90 Days, Seasons 1 & 2. The picture of Tom and Jesse was taken last November in NYC.
It seems that Tom and Jesse are collaborating on a project, which is said to be coming soon. Tom wrote under his recent repost of the photo, “All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them… If this was an episode what do you think would have been said… It’s not, we are working on a common interest and project…”
It’s still a mystery what this project of Tom and Jesse’s will entail, but we’re sure we will find out very soon. If you’re out of the loop as to how and why Jesse and Tom are friends, we will make a long story short. It started this past November when Tom reached out to Jesse, apologizing for any resentment between the two. Aside from both previously dating Darcey, they seem to have much in common and are becoming quite the friends.
Following Tom’s apology to him in November, Jesse Meester shared the following:
“Tom did reach out to me and I accepted his apology. We had a good yet shocking conversation and found out we were both manipulated and played at the same time. Not surprising, but not less painful when you are trying to help and love someone when it’s really all a lie. She told him how bad I was and she told me how bad he was. Result: I thought he was a bad guy and he thought I was. Calls and messages right after me or him in the AM. Right after each other. It was a pattern. Almost professional.
We both had our lesson and I explained why I never “warned” him and kept my mouth shut. It’s because I had to leave no room for her to point fingers, except herself. All though, while watching and hearing him, I truly felt bad for him. Nobody deserves this. The truth played out itself. Tom and I were both lied to. He had his lesson, as I had mine.
I moved on from this but I want to put a message out there of hope for anyone who went through something similar. Please, be mindful of red flags. Read them. Understand them. And ask questions before falling deeper and deeper and losing your rational. We both helped and tried. And it only backfired. Now we are helping each other and have coffee. Good guy. God, truth and real love always prevails. Love you all.”
Now that Darcey and Tom officially are done, hopefully, everyone involved can move forward drama free. Tom may receive some resentment from 90 Day Fiance viewers after his comment to Darcey, but only time will tell how fans will react and if people will be quick to forgive this little mishap. Perhaps the next episode of 90 Day Fiance will provide more on what Tom has to say after he and Darcey’s last and shocking meeting.
